When you entrust your car to a mechanic to arrange the technical inspection, you can expect to receive it back with a passed inspection. They are, in principle, the professional, so they are the best placed to know if the vehicle is truly ready. They should only proceed with the inspection after all checks have been properly performed, with complete peace of mind.
In their case, that clearly doesn't happen; they send the vehicle for inspection without first checking that everything is in order. The result is a failed inspection that you still have to pay for.
I strongly advise against this.
And if this car has 380,000 km on the clock since 1991, that's not thanks to this mechanic.
